Introducing an easier way to train staff in basic food hygiene.
European directive on the hygiene of foodstuffs (93/43/EEC), article 5,
makes training in food hygiene a legal requirement for all commercial
food handling personnel. The onus is on the proprietor to train all food
handlers in food safety techniques. Historically, this has meant high
costs both in lost time and money. But now there is an alternative that
is flexible and cost effective.
One World Learning's course on Basic Food Hygiene means all food handlers
can learn at their own pace, but within a scheduled time set by management
(rather than a training company). This easy to use training programme
is designed to allow your employees to undertake the course with minimal
supervision. Interactive exercises reinforce learning points and makes
training fun. At the end of the course the student make take an exam via
the internet which evaluates their learning attainment. The training course
explains how the food handler can contribute to safer food and provides
immediate feedback on their performance during the course.
Some of the key benefits include:
- No need for a training instructor
- Improved performance after training
- Availability of the course 24 hours a day 7 days a week
- Automatic maintenance of training records
Multimedia training is the way of the future. One World Learning creates
courses that make training accessible to everyone. If you are looking
to internet or CD-ROM training to achieve your training goals, then we
should be talking.
